Manners, known as Adab in Arabic, are how we are to behave as Muslims – our interactions with people, how we eat and drink, and the etiquette of visiting the Masjid.

Being kind to neighbours

Honouring the elderly

Lowering one’s gaze when seeing a member of the opposite sex who isn’t your spouse or close family member

Being clean and hygienic

Saying Bismillah before eating or drinking anything

Using the right hand to eat and drink

Giving and taking with the right hand

Following the etiquette or entering and leaving the masjid, your home, or when travelling
